News   Latest Companies Act 2006 The Companies Act 2006 received Royal Assent on 8th November 2006 and effectively replaced the existing company legislation by re-writing, updating and modernising company law. The changes in the Act will be complete by October 2009, a list of the main points can be seen on the following document:                                           Companies Act 2006 Budget 2009 - April 2009 The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented his 2009 Budget to Parliament on 22 April. HM Revenue have published Press Notices, Budget Notes, and other related supplementary documents which can be viewed by following the link http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/budget2009/index.htm HM Revenue & Customs have issued new guidance in relation to self-employed and  employed status.
